Colourful Wedding With Autumnal Flowers in the Bryndon Room at Chelsea Old Town Hall

This elegant, relaxed October micro-wedding might be all the inspiration you need for your wedding planning! The Bride and Groom decided to have a smaller legal ceremony before a big wedding the following year. From the Autumnal flowers (featuring pampas!) to the locations for their couple portraits to the stunning Italian restaurant – this bride and groom kept things simple, intimate and personal! You’ll find a list and links to all wedding vendors at the bottom of the page.

I started my day by capturing candid wedding photos of the guests in the Bryndon Room at Chelsea Old Town Hall.

Wedding Ceremony

The couple chose the Bryndon Room to exchange their vows amongst their closest friends and family. In the name of keeping things personal with a side of untraditional, the Bride walked down the aisle with her Mum. Just look at the Groom’s reaction!

This room has one wall of windows, which allows enough natural light in even on an overcast day! It’s the perfect size for a micro-wedding, as it allows enough room during your ceremony for me to move around and capture you from different angles, your guests’ reactions, and the small details.

During their ceremony, two of their guests surprised them with a reading from Dolly Alderton’s book ‘Everything I Know about Love’ – One of my personal favourites! I love hearing my client’s guests’ choices for their readings and speeches.

I did a reading during my Sister’s wedding, comparing marriage to her favourite place – Glastonbury Festival! Have you thought about readings during your ceremony yet? Are you going to request they write something themselves or have them read your favourite passage? The possibilities to make your ceremony personal are endless!

Exchanging vows and rings

As the couple exchanged their vows and rings you’ll notice the nervous giggles as the rings were (and almost always are) a tight fit! I love moving around to make sure I get enough of my couple’s faces during these moments alongside your first kiss as a married couple.

Group photos

The stairs outside Chelsea Old Town Hall are perfect for your group photos. Using them means I don’t spend too much time asking for the shorter guests to come to the front as I can already see everybody. With your group photos, I like to adapt the vibe to what you want as a couple so we can get a mixture of fun and formal. Or all fun. Or all formal, the choice is yours!

Couple Portraits

Chelsea Old Town Hall is perfect for your wedding day portraits as there’s a huge variety of gorgeous spots around the local area. I have a bunch of them saved on my Google Maps so during your pre-wedding consultation we can go through them and you can choose which ones you’d like. And on the day I’m always keeping an eye out for new backdrops – just for you!

I’m almost ashamed of how long it took me and how many weddings I’d capture at Chelsea Old Town Hall before I realised this iconic Pink Love door is only round the corner from it! So now I just love to visit it with all my couples! If we have time I also love a trip to St Albert’s Bridge too! You never know you might also get to meet a puppy!

Wedding Reception at Daphne’s

Daphne’s Italian restaurant is about a fifteen-minute walk or a five minute Uber from Chelsea Old Town Hall. The conservatory is decorated beautifully and the food looks absolutely delicious!

The way the conservatory is set up for weddings is perfect for your grand entrance as a couple, who doesn’t enjoy being clapped and wooed with their partner in crime!?! The lighting is perfect for your wedding reception and capturing candid interactions between your guests! I highly recommend it if you are still looking for your micro-wedding reception venue.
